Just because they're going to be on someone's plate doesn't mean that they should be treated so inhumanely. We need to change the laws! And do you really want to eat pork, chicken or beef knowing the kinds of conditions they came from?

"The beef industry has contributed to more American deaths than all the wars of this century, all natural disasters, and all automobile accidents combined. If beef is your idea of `real food for real people,' you'd better live real close to a real good hospital." ~Neal D. Barnard, M.D.

From farm to market...Cattle are tied by their noses during long journeys

Cow readied for slaughter

Pigs kept in farrows

Turkeys in a transport truck

Dairy milking. Most stay this way all day long.

Gross hand feeding of a factory duck

Chickens going to slaughter house.

Pigs for slaughter. They are kept like this, with no freedom outside of the farrow at all.

"I do not like eating meat because I have seen lambs and pigs killed. I saw and felt their pain. They felt the approaching death. I could not bear it. I cried like a child. I ran up a hill and could not breathe. I felt that I was choking. I felt the death of the lamb." ~Vaslav Nijinsky
