"I am only one, but still I am one. I cannnot do everything, but still I can do something; and because I cannot do everything I will not refuse to do the something that I can do." ~Edward Everett Hale

Take part in the *Odd Socks for Animals* campaign by wearing mismatched socks. When you wear odd socks, people are bound to comment -- which gives you an excellent chance to talk about the campaign your odd socks represent. It's cheap, it's easy, and it even promotes recycling -- at last there's something you can do with all those unmatched socks your dryer keeps spitting out. So get out that bag of mismatched socks you've been saving "in case the other one turns up" and make a statement against cruelty!

THE RIBBON CAMPAIGN

BE A HERO

You don't have to do anything other than get a 12-14 inch piece of purple ribbon and tie it on your car antenna. If you don't drive pin a smaller ribbon on your coat-jacket-shirt-blouse or even your hat. When someone asks you what it is for tell them "For stronger, stiffer, animal abuse laws in all the states and countries."

If you can't find a ribbon, or don't know where to look--ribbon can be found in almost every department store, K-Mart, Wal-Mart, dimestores, grocery, card stores and drug stores and your local florist will also have some.

This is such a small thing to do. But our ribbon could wrap around the world. This is one way to punish the evil doers who think that cats, dogs, horses, ferrets and all other pets are just here for their cruel games.

Let the truth ring out that we love our pets and want them protected. Let the people we elected to serve us finally do their job.

"The Earth and her threatened animal nations deserve the same level of defense that we support when human life is threatened. Otherwise, we are just hypocrites wanting change without the risk and sacrifice that is already being made by others." ~Author Unknown
